Another Huge blow to wild animal acts

Postby naja-naja » Wed Feb 28, 2018 8:44 am

UK has just announced it's phasing in a wild animal ban in circuses, beginning 2020. This is particularly devastating as the UK is considered the birthplace of wild animal training. The Chipperfield Family (who have trained animals for over 400 years, have been involved in zoos and circuses all over the world and whose descendant, Thomas, is billed as Britain's Last Lion Tamer) and Lacey Family (Alex was Ringling's tiger trainer up till they closed, his brother Martin works for Circus krone in Germany, Their father, Martin Lacey Senior, was also in the industry) both come from the UK.

Currently, there are no touring wild animal acts in the UK.
