If they had named it the "Australian Dwarf Otter" I bet people would like them more...apparently they're seen as awful sewer rat-type critters.

Yeah they're like the rodent version of otters but too many people still automatically hate any "rat"

Wow. That's a gorgeous animal. Is it only native to Australia? No chance of getting these here probably?

I love that tail though. So pretty.

There are some in Papua New Guinea and part of Indonesia along with other species of "Water Rats" which there don't seem to be any pictures of online.

Really cute and pretty. I thought it was some kind of giant squirrel at first.
