I used to give my rats whole chicken leg bones. Way too big to shove in their mouth, haha. They enjoyed the occasional nibble of cooked white meat chicken too. Another thing I would give them, that was totally safe, was the tiniest version of the Greenies chews for little dogs.
I was just wondering how similar they are for enrichment needs and if my experience with rats is good to apply (mostly) for hams as well. I haven't owned any hamsters for almost 20 years.

The general enrichment ideas transfer. You don't do water/swimming enrichment with hamsters though.
The edible dog chews are fine for hamsters-just double check the ingredients. Whimzees dog chews are a favorite. Cooked chicken is important protein treat for hamsters.
