URGENT: Normal Blood Parameters for Tanuki Required

Postby Katalyst » Sun Oct 15, 2017 3:16 pm

Sushi has been taken extremely ill and whilst I ran his bloods earlier, I'm not sure if what I'm looking at is normal or not.
Does anyone have access to normal haematology, electrolyte and biochemistry parameters for tanuki so I can compare his results?

I can't find any, just info on some changes they go through due to hibernating like thyroid levels and lower temperature. Maybe some other owners took healthy blood tests you could compare too, preferably from the same time of year. If he seemed healthy when the earlier were taken changes in non-endocrine things might still help point to a problem.

Things aren't looking good.
It looks like meningoencephalitis or something along those lines.
I've been fighting to keep him alive since 3am on Sunday morning, he's had x rays, and ultrasound, constant IVFT, heavy analgesia, metronidazole... I cannot do much more than I'm doing.
The next port of call is steroids.

I'm so sorry. Hopefully he pulls through.
