Maybe if you do you can try cutting some livers open too in case there are lesions on the inside. It sounded like you would be able to see it just from looking but I would think they could be anywhere in the liver so maybe are there but hiding.

Check the intestines for lesions as well if you do more disections.

Definitely not Myco. They'd be sneezing and wheezing and you'd hear/notice it. Could be some sort of infection of the brain or some other inner infection that's causing enough pain to make them attack you/the other rats.

Some animals will attack and kill their own kind when one of them is not acting "right" due to lameness/sickness/etc. I've seen lions kill members of their pride when one of them becomes afflicted with a certain disease, I can't remember what it was.
