I'm sure Opie is having a wonderful time running and playing right now, just like my Max, Axlerod and Alex are. I'm sorry for your loss, but you can rest easy now knowing he's not in pain. He doesn't have to hurt anymore. And I'm sure he'll patiently wait for the day that he can be with his family again.

Im so sorry you lost him.
I think you did the right thing. Spine/back stuff can be absolutely suffering. I really dont think they make pain meds strong enough for animals!

thank you everyone.

yes, opie is now with the other dogs that left me.
I miss him already.

hubby buried him.

I know he is not in pain anymore.

this is actually the first time, I had a dog that had this type of problem.
most of them had cancer or heart problem.

I really appreciate every ones support.
