Raccoon in oregon as pets

Can you own a ring-tailed raccoon or a standard raccoon in Oregon, if it’s from a facility that USDA licensed to breed them?

This is so complicated, the laws change frequently, the state law can be one way, then a county legislate another way. The only way to know
for sure is to contact every interested party in your county, city, game commission, state veterinary office, EVERYBODY.

And even then you might get conflicting answers and need to speak to supervisors. Headache, but worth it to know for sure. :)

No they changed it and you have to be a AZA zoo to have a raccoon used to be from a USDA breeder was okay but not any more, no ringtail cats either.

Thank you for the recent information update. My husband and I are looking at buying another ranch and OR is on our list for potential states.
