Wearing a harness

How old did you, if you did, start putting a harness on your coonies?
Also, when did you start litterbox training?

collars and harnesses are hard to keep on a raccoon. they have busy little hands. not sure if there is a harness that would work.
I personally never used a harness on mine. are you planning on taking your raccoon out for walks? if so, not a good idea. it's OK to keep a raccoon on your property (depending on your neighborhood) there are people out there that seem to think we should not have any type of exotic. also, some people seem to think that all raccoons carry rabies  however they bases those ideas on what what the game commission claims.

I started litter training mine on day one. raccoons litter train pretty easy.

some owners keep their raccoons in the house only, some do both. I personally, have a enclosure for them. but, I still let them in the house with me.
some raccoons can be very destructive kept in a house 24/7.

if raised properly, a raccoon are great pets. NEVER keep a raccoon in a small cage. that will bring aggression out in them.

Do you have dogs? raccoons usually like to play with dogs.

we are here to help, so anything you are not sure of, please feel free to ask.

please keep us updated and let us know when you get your raccoon.
