What size den box do you recommend for a silver fox? I've been looking, but can't find dimensions.

I'm thinking 4x2x2.

You can use a sizing formula for doghouses as a guide. Example: https://www.blythewoodworks.com/sizing_guide

Hi. :) My den box for my two is big--I was really worried at first that it wouldn't work since it wouldn't keep in warmth due to its size. I still think it's a bit too big, but it was made for me by a family member. I stuffed it full of straw though and the foxes burrowed through it, which solved any of the problems I would have had.

I think 4x2x2 sounds like a great size.

Good. I got the box built, I just need to insulate it and make it weather proof. What age do you recommend putting them outside? Or does it just depend on when they start getting restless?

When they start becoming restless and becoming a nuisance to you. :icon-wink:

I put my little Ifrit out in the garage after about 2 weeks of keeping her indoors. Making sure they have plenty of shade and water when outdoors is very important, especially if they're young.
