Green Eyes

Postby Ash » Tue Jan 03, 2017 2:37 pm

So far colicott and some of its combinations are the only colors of red fox we know of that have green eyes. Green eyes are very beautiful, and that's one of the reasons I love the colicott gene.

My rescue fox Carousel has green eyes. So she very likely has colicott in her. I believe her to be a colicott cross. If you have pictures of foxes with green eyes, post them here! I LOVE the color and would really like to oogle more at these beautiful foxes.

Here is a photo of Carousel's eyes to get us started!

That is a beautiful fox! You don't see many foxes with green you see blue sometimes but this is cool!

Those eyes look bluish grey to me, are "green" fox eyes more like that or are my eyes just funny?
5 Dogs, 2 cats, 2 leopard geckos, 1 guinea pig, 1 axolotl, and a coatimundi currently in my family. :)

Exotic "wishlist": red fox, arctic fox, gray fox, bat eared fox, fennec fox, mink, muntjac deer, owl (any species).

Sometimes they look green, and yeah, sometimes they look blue-ish gray. I can never decide what color they really are, and it really depends on the type of light she's in and background.

I'll try to find some better photos of her eyes. Just for fun and because either way they're beautiful. XD

Looking back at better pictures, they're definitely green, imo. In person they seem to look either green or blue but I think that's because the background and lighting are contributing to the "color change." I need to resize the pictures I've got to post them here.
