Mm, well, all I know is that foxes require even more taurine than cats. So if you want to be safe, you can add taurine supplements, but it sounds like you have it covered.

There was a study done on red and arctic fox and taurine. They need about the same amount as cats but more if you are trying to reverse a problem from too little in the past. 500mg taurine per KG(2.2 pounds)of food. That's about 0.5% of the food. Double for problems. I'm to tired to go finding it right now but it was studying taurine and cardiomyopothy caused by it in fox.

There is a list of high taurine foods here http://www.vetlord.org/taurine-is-essential-for-cats/

Just use google and click the shopping feature or check local health food stores.

I buy it as powder from here: http://www.jgsupplements.com/products/t ... g-8oz.html
I would think there are companies selling the same on your side of the Atlantic. I originally found it on Amazon but then checked the seller and it worked out cheaper to buy it directly from them.

zupreem or evo ferret food is extremely high in taurine and protein and is a great supplement for foxes : ) Mr. Fox loves it.

Just posting here, Miehiera's favorite snack by far is eggs. She'll have them any way, scrambled, raw, but her favorite is boiled.

She'll also eat apples, watermelon, green beans, carrots, baked beans, chicken, fish, dog kibble (I don't intentionally give it to her but occasionally she'll get into the dog's bowls). She'll eat just about anything... but strangely, she won't eat raw hamburger. I've offered it to her a few times and she's turned her nose up at it each time. o_o

Hamburger is not a good idea weather it actually be ham or beef as pork is no good for foxes and beef is harder for them to digest them white meat/fish, the smaller the fox the harder it seems to be for them to digest. From what I have been told red foxes can be okay with beef but they also seem to thrive on garbage here in the U.K.

Akiko the fennec kit adores tuna and prawns mixed with raw egg at the moment, won't touch boiled of scrambled. All of my foxes love raw eggs as do my dogs and it gives them all a wonderfully shiny coat! :peng:

Some fox species eat rodents. You could buy the frozen feeder rats/mice that are usually bought to feed reptiles and feed them to your fox instead if it's an arctic or red fox. I'm not sure about the other species though.
Exotic Wishlist: high content wolfdog or wolf, low to mid content wolfdog, Coyote, Coydog, Black-backed Jackal, New Guinea Singing Dog, Red Fox, Gray Fox, Mink, Raccoon, Coati, and Kinkajou.

Domestic Wishlist: dogs, cats, ferrets, donkey, mule

Many people feed their fennecs day old chicks and pinky mice which a perfectly good for them, I just choose not too as I have see how much Akiko throws her toy mice around I think I might be sick if it was an actual dead mouse :red-face:

My friend feeds his corsacs day old chicks which apparently they like he also feeds them mice which again are good for them.

I've been feeding Fable steak and roast lately. He really likes it, and his stools have been well-formed. So I know reds can digest it pretty good.

Are chicken gizzards good for them? I bought a package and am going to start giving them to Fable every few days.
3 red fox, 4 pectinata iguanas, nile monitor, BW tegu, sailfin dragon, leachie gecko, 6 snakes, salamander, 3 tarantulas
