Hair loss in tigers

Postby Lionsniper » Thu Apr 01, 2010 4:21 pm

Anyone here experience hair loss with a tiger and found out what caused it and how to go about treating this? Recently visited a cat I raised and was quite distressed to see he has hair loss and sores. I no longer work there so I have to tread lightly. The owner states it is allergies, bloodwork had been done year's ago but then the condition was not hair loss. Any input would be appreciated. Btw, I visit this tiger every year, so no abuse is going on, maybe some neglect recently, but they claim it clears up, this is the first time I have ever seen it, but I am not there every day in every season and the pollen count has been wicked this time of year, this year anyway.

Okay she's just a domestic but my cat gets like that with flea allergies so also would agree allergies are most likely.
