F2 Bengal babies

Postby Sephoracat » Fri Jan 16, 2015 4:48 pm

Update: My F1 Bengal girl gave birth to two gorgeous little F2 kittens 1 boy and 1 girl. They are now 5 weeks old and doing great. They have been bottle fed since 3 weeks of age. I just love their little chirps and mews. I am keeping the little girl to hold back and breed. Her name is Tiger Lilly. Her brother Avry is currently looking for his forever pet home. This was my first F2 litter and it has been an amazing experience. :) I just wanted to show them off! <3
Mom is looking great too. I added a pic of her.

Wow, they're gorgeous! Congratulations on having a successful litter. That's always great news. I hope the male finds a good forever home. :) I love how you describe them. They sound adorable.

Elina just had a litter of two Alaskan Klee Kai puppies that she's been posting pictures of, so I think it's neat to see more people getting litters--whether it be kittens or puppies.

What was the pairing? I understand the basics of the "F1" "F2" etc generation thing. And F1 is supposedly 50% leopard cat and 50% domestic, right? So what generation was her mate?

Thank you! :) The pairing was between my F1 girl (Asian leopard cat X bengal mating) and a SBT bengal male. I am not sure the generation of the father as we generally stop keeping count after F4. After F4 they are called Sbt(stud book tradition) bengals and are considered domestic and can be shown. ;)

Okay, so you get an F2 from an F1 x "domestic" pairing.

Your cats are so gorgeous.
