hello

Postby dave » Fri Apr 21, 2017 11:34 am

hi everyone. im dave from illinios. been a crazy year for critters here. couple weeks ago I pulled 4 baby raccoons out of ceiling. they were so little, eyes still closed. found a baby fox out back yesterday. its the coolest thing. sadly I have no experience with foxs. I have found some great info on here, thxs for that.
anyone see an issue with my dog being buddies with fox. she really good with animals. even tried to mother the baby coons. I had her and fox together yesterday, fox didn't seem at all bothered. is it wishful dreaming that my dog could pass on some good traits of hers? such as coming if called. not biting as hard, thinking that my dog is alpha at the moment.learn threw playing.
sorry for poor typing skills.

It probably not legal for you to keep any animals from the wild so I'd try to keep that fairly quiet locally.

No problem letting him interact with your dog, assuming you wont let him run free as then he might think other dogs are friends too. Just limit exposure to the dog so he bonds more to you. It wont likely help in training any.

welcome Dave.

I have raised 4 foxes with my dogs. seems it is best with one fox to pick up a little of a dogs actions.
However, as mary pointed out, don't let the fox run free, the fox should have a large enclosure as an adult.

also, I agree with mary to keep your fox quiet locally. we certainly don't want you to have a bad experience.
please keep us updated..

thanks again for joining us, we are here to help
